Why Centrum

Where Structure Meets Movement

The word "Centrum" represents the centre or central point. In vertebral anatomy, the centrum refers to the central body of a vertebra - an important load-bearing component of the spinal column. This reflects our philosophy of care: the body works as a connected system. Pain in one area can be influenced by movement, mobility, strength, load, posture and function elsewhere. At Centrum Clinic, we assess these relationships rather than viewing symptoms in isolation. We bring together different clinical approaches to understand structure, movement and function and create a treatment plan centred around the individual.

Assessment. Treatment. Rehabilitation. - All centred around you.

Our Approach

ASSESS FIRST. TREAT WITH PURPOSE.

We believe effective treatment starts with a good assessment. Rather than following a fixed protocol, we consider symptoms, clinical findings, movement, mobility, strength, load, function and goals.

  1. Clinical Assessment

Understanding your symptoms, history, movement and functional limitations.

  2. Hands-On Care

Using appropriate manual and hands-on techniques based on your individual needs.

  3. Movement Rehabilitation

Improving mobility, strength, control and confidence through targeted exercise.

  4. Progressive Loading

Gradually rebuilding your capacity to work, exercise, play sport and perform everyday activities.

  5. Education & Self-Management

Helping you understand your condition and giving you practical strategies to
    support recovery.

HELPFUL ANSWERS

Questions Before You Book

Practical information to help you prepare for your clinic visit.

What conditions can Centrum Clinic help with?

We provide assessment and rehabilitation for spine and joint problems, musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, movement dysfunctions, posture-related problems and functional limitations.

Which treatment is right for my condition?

There is no single treatment that is right for everyone. After assessment, we recommend the approach or combination of approaches most appropriate for your presentation and goals.

Can I visit without a previous diagnosis?

Yes. You can consult us even if you do not have a confirmed diagnosis. A clinical assessment can help determine the appropriate next step.

Do I need an MRI or X-ray before treatment?

Not always. Imaging is recommended when clinically indicated. Your assessment helps determine whether further investigation may be appropriate.

What is the difference between physiotherapy, chiropractic care and an osteopathy-based approach?

These approaches use different assessment and treatment principles, but may overlap in their focus on movement, function and musculoskeletal health. Your treatment is selected according to your individual needs

Is chiropractic treatment safe?

For appropriately selected patients, chiropractic treatment is generally considered safe when performed by a qualified practitioner following an appropriate assessment.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies according to your condition, severity, duration of symptoms, goals and response to treatment. We will discuss your expected treatment plan after assessment.

Do you treat sports injuries?

Yes. We provide sports injury assessment, rehabilitation, strength and functional training and progressive return-to- sport programmes

Can you help with long-standing pain?

Yes. Persistent problems may require a broader approach addressing mobility, strength, movement, load, function and self-management

What therapies are available?

Depending on your needs, treatment may include physiotherapy, chiropractic care, osteopathy-based approaches, manual therapy, spinal decompression, dry needling, cupping therapy and progressive rehabilitation.

How do I book an appointment?

Choose your preferred clinic and available appointment time, then provide the required patient details.

Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Yes. Please contact the clinic as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
